Where things stand today

This site sets no cookies. Not for analytics, not for advertising, not the strictly necessary kind either. The fonts and images all come from this domain, so loading a page tells nobody but our host that you were here. The only thing stored on your device is the theme preference described below, and that is not a cookie.

That is unusually little, and we are not going to pretend it is permanent. Analytics is on our list. The section after next says what happens when we get to it.

The theme preference

One item, stored only if you change the theme yourself using the control in the footer.

• Name. tcc-theme
• Type. Local storage, not a cookie.
• Value. light or dark. Leaving the control on Auto, which is the default: removes the item entirely and follows your operating system instead.
• Purpose. So the site opens in the theme you picked instead of flashing the wrong one every time you arrive.
• Expires. When you clear it. There is no timer.

To remove it, set the theme control in the footer back to Auto and it deletes itself. Clearing site data for this domain does the same thing. Nothing breaks either way, the site goes back to following your system theme.

Why that one is not a cookie

A cookie is attached by your browser to every request it makes to the site, which is what makes cookies useful for tracking and what puts them under consent law. Local storage is not attached to anything. tcc-theme is read by the page itself, in your browser, and never crosses the network, so we could not see which theme you use even if we wanted to.

Storing anything on your device is still worth telling you about, which is why it is on this page rather than left out of it.

What we may add, and what happens first

We expect to add analytics so we can see which pages get read and where visitors arrive from. It is useful for deciding what to write next and useless for identifying you, which is the only reason we want it.

Whatever we add, three things hold:

• It gets named here first. The provider, the cookies it sets, what each one does and how long it lasts, on this page, on the day it goes live, not afterwards.
• It waits for you. Anything beyond what the site needs to function will ask before it runs, and will not run if you say no. Declining costs you nothing; the site works identically.
• You can change your mind. Withdrawing is as easy as agreeing was, and clearing site data for this domain removes everything regardless.

What we will not add is advertising or cross-site tracking. That is covered under what we will never do.

Links that leave this site

Two buttons take you somewhere we do not control, and those places set their own cookies under their own policies:

• Book a call opens a Google scheduling page. Once you are there, you are on Google's terms.
• Orbit, the app clients use to run their queue, is a separate product with a login and its own session cookies. It is a tool for existing clients, not part of this marketing site.

Neither loads anything into this site. Following the link is what starts the relationship, and nothing happens until you choose to click.
